In this two-session course led by Rabbi Tick Brill, we will discuss theory and best practices for how to perform the critical mitzvah of bikur cholim, visiting people who are sick. You will leave this class with new insights and practical tools to utilize the next time you support someone going through a challenge.
Rabbi Tick Brill is a trained hospital chaplain. After ordination, she completed an intensive, year-long residency program in Clinical Pastoral Education at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she developed expertise in supporting patients and families through illness, aging, and loss.
Please note: While this is a two-session course, each session stands alone. Due to the sensitive nature of the topic, this course is preferred to be in-person, at Sukkat Shalom. If you cannot join us in person, you can listen in live through Zoom, but only on February 2, with a link to be provided to registrants who request it.
On February 9, the class is in-person only.
Please note the course will not be recorded or available after each session.
