Wednesday, March 27, 2019 • 20 Adar II 5779
10:45 AM - 3:00 PMSukkat Shalom
Join our senior men for a unique "field trip" to the Spertus Institute to view the exhibit, The Three Escapes of Hannah Arendt, based on the new, graphic novel by Ken Krimstein. An advertising executive, creative director, teacher and writer, Krimstein is also a talented illustrator and cartoonist whose work has been featured in The New Yorker and other publications.
Ken will personally lead us on a tour of the exhibit and share the origins of his interest in Arendt, whose meditations on evil and the Holocaust, as well as political topics, made her one of the 20th Century's great philosophers.
SPECIAL INFORMATION FOR THIS EVENT: We will meet at the temple at 10:45am and then ride a limo bus downtown. Box lunch will be offered on board. The limo bus will bring us back to the temple, returning by 3:00pm.
Departure and return: Congregation Sukkat Shalom, 1001 Central Avenue, Wilmette
Exhibition and Talk: The Spertus Institute, 610 S. Michigan, Chicago.
