Please join us for the first in a series of guest scholar events honoring the legacy of our founding rabbi, Sam Gordon.

Rabbi Gordon's public conversations with individuals who have influenced and inspired him leads off with the return of Professor Susannah Heschel, the Eli M. Black Distinguished Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth University.

Professor Heschel shared with us her insights on the Diaspora and Jewish identity this past February. She is an award-winning author of numerous books and articles, is a Guggenheim fellow, and has contributed significant scholarship on the topic of Jewish and Christian interactions in Germany during the 19th and 20th centuries. She is the daughter of Abraham Joshua Heschel, one of the 20th Century's leading Jewish theologians and philosophers. She is a prominent feminist and innovator in Jewish practice.
