You're in for a treat as we welcome veteran sports journalist and author, Ed Sherman, to share his insights on Jewish sports heroes. Sherman began his career at the Chicago Tribune in 1981 and remained there for 27 years. In 2012, he launched Sherman Report, a national site specializing in coverage of sports media. He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Illinois, where he served as sports editor and lead sports columnist for the Daily Illini. His many beats included covering the Bears, the White Sox and golf. He is a past host of The Scorecard, a golf talk radio show, and is the author of four books, including “This is B1G,” and “Babe Ruth’s Called Shot.”

Sherman has served as an adjunct professor for journalism at Northwestern, Illinois and DePaul. He lives in Chicago’s North suburbs with his wife, Ilene, an attorney, and children, Matthew and Sam.
