Our next story collection will be:

After Abel and Other Stories by Michal Lemberger, Finalist, 2015 National Jewish Book Award; Honorable Mention, Sophie Brody Medal, American Library Association; and one of the Jewish Book Council's "15 fiction books that shaped Jewish literature in 2015." See dates meeting dates above. This book of beautiful stories brings to life various female stories from the TaNaKh, imagining what their lives were like beyond what is told in the biblical text.

The Wilmette Lunch and Learn Book Club meets monthly on Thursdays, 12:00-1:00pm over Zoom. We discuss approximately 2 short stories each month; attendance at every session is not required! The first session for After Abel will be on February 23 and we will be discussing The Watery Season (p.81-112) and Zeresh His Wife (p.113-154).
