Cut and Burn at Miami Woods

The North Branch Restoration Project works to protect and restore native Illinois ecosystems in the Forest Preserve District of Cook County (FPDCC) forest preserves along the North Branch of the Chicago River.  One of the main tasks of North Branch volunteers is to remove and burn European buckthorn and Asian honeysuckle. Volunteers from 13 to 18 are welcome to participate if accompanied by an adult parent or legal guardian who signs a FPDCC waiver (which must be signed by all participants) and stays for the duration; children under 13 are not allowed.
